Sheng-Ce Tao, Ph.D., Professor

Sheng-Ce Tao joined the Shanghai Center for Systems Biomedicine and Shanghai Jiao Tong University on January 1,2009.

A native of Hubei, China, he received his bachelor's degree (1997) in microbiology from Shandong University and his master's degree (2000)in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In 2004, he received his Ph. D. from Tsinghua University under the supervision of Professor Jing Cheng, a pioneer of microarray technology in China and an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Prior to coming to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he was a post-doctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Heng Zhu, associate professor of Johns Hopkins University, who is well recognized for creating the first proteome microarray of Saccharymyces cerevisiae and his continuous and high impact works of protein microarray technologies.
